Comprehensive Eye Examinations
We know your vision is important to you – and it’s important to us. When you come for your appointment, we make sure to schedule ample time so you will never feel rushed or have a long wait. Our office provides complete eye care for both adults and children. After our technicians perform a range of pretests to screen for glaucoma and retinal disease, Dr. McMunn will assess your eyes and visual system for any potential eye disorders or diseases. Your visual skills and abilities are carefully evaluated and appropriate treatment will be prescribed, whether it’s medication, lenses, or vision therapy. We are prepared to handle whatever your eyecare needs are, and will treat them with the latest in diagnostic equipment and are committed to keeping up with eye care technology.
Eye Infections and Injuries
Our office provides emergency services for eye infections and eye injuries. Please call our office at (860) 739-9900 to speak with us during office hours or page Dr McMunn after hours or on weekends. Our staff will work with you to schedule an appointment as soon as possible. Dr. McMunn is residency trained in ocular disease, and is licensed to the highest level of Advanced Optometric Care. Using state-of-the-art equipment and tests, Dr. McMunn can evaluate your injury or infection and develop and appropriate treatment plan.
Contact Lenses
Dr. McMunn can fit you with a pair of contact lenses that is just right for you. We are experts in fitting a variety of contact lenses and can handle the most specialized needs. Whether you need lenses for astigmatism, bifocals, or extended wear we are experienced in handling the most difficult of prescriptions.
If you have allergies or dry eye, you know these can be particularly disruptive to contact lens wearers. In the past many people had to discontinue wearing their lenses due to allergies or dryness. However, new lens materials and prescription medications have made it possible for these people to eliminate the symptoms associated with allergies and dry eye. Let us know when you come in for your appointment if you have concerns or difficulties with your contact lenses and we will be happy to help you.
Optical Dispensing
Our optical has a large selection of designer eyewear and sunglasses. We are able to provide you with any lens design available, whether it be a progressive, safety thickness polycarbonate, or an ultrathin Transitions lens protecting your eyes from the sun and glare. Our highly qualified staff are able to adjust and fit your glasses to you for extended comfort and vision.
